The process starts with completing a USRAP Intake Questionnaire Intake Questionnaire the U.S. Embassy Pretoria website. Applicants undergo multiple interviews and ongoing security screenings, including local background checks. The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) makes the final decision on case approval. Approved applicants receive medical screening, cultural orientation, and placement with a U.S. resettlement agency before travel.
